'How to measure with salt' is a video exploration of the Cheetham Wetlands. Using an image found in the Living Museum of the West archive as a starting point, the video makes reference to photo scales, the tools used in archaeology and science to measure elements that have been photographed. This work considers ways that we record history and collect data for science and abstracts the languages and tools used for these hard sciences to search for the poetry and social elements that can be hard to document, or measure.
